Hu? It just shows the unread posts. Which can be anything between 0 and 99999
At least that's how it is and was for me.
Do you login from diffrent PCs?
It could be an cookie issue. (not really a forum issue)
Part of the solution is "Show new replies to your posts."
It will list all threads you have posted in and have new replies. Even if "Show unread posts since last visit." shows nothing.
But obviously that only shows posts you participated in.

Aren't all those fixes undone when you restore a more recent backup?
Or are those settings not stored in the database itself?

Looks like they point to the wrong directory.
