1. I believe 100% in the Bible, though other Universalists are at different stages of God showing them the truth regarding the Bible's complete reliability and trustworthiness.

2. Nope.

3. Jesus Christ will acheive His objective of seeking and saving the destroyed, so yup!  He'll reach 'em all eventually, by our preaching now, or by His and our preaching then.

4. The Bible teaches it, although it teaches that Jesus took away the sin of the world.  Whatever is not of faith, hope, and love is still sin, though.

5. I do, but not all Universalists currently believe the entire Bible as I said above.

6. I take the entire Bible literally, although I've recently found some value in deeper allegorical interpretations.

7.  All people will be reached by the preaching of the Gospel in this life or the next, but it's not irrespective of what they believe.  Jesus Christ is THE Way, THE Truth, and THE Life -- no one at all comes to the Father but through Him.

8.  I personally do because I've seen it and been to it.

9.  I am trinitarian, in a sense, but not in the Catholic or Calvinistic unBiblical definitions of it with co-equals, etc. 'cause Jesus did say that the Father was greater than Himself, and Jesus said that the Holy Spirit was subject to Jesus.

10.  YES!

11.  I believe the entire Bible, so, whether God is angry when He's judging or not, it won't effect His ultimate intent of completing all life in Himself.

12.  YES!  as I said, I believe the entire Bible.

13.  this is the sticky one, because although I personally lean heavier towards "inerrancy" than most others around here, I am aware of minor textual variations in the ancient manuscripts.  But at the same time, no important details are lost to us in history.

Seems like a lot of your conclusions have come from believing that the Bible is correct

What if its not? What then my friend?

Hello Edward.  IMO, we either believe

1) God, including what He said about His logos, His Son, i.e., His Word, its authority, trustworthiness, and inspiration,

2) our own mind, which is a wonderful creation, but in itself is enmity (hate) toward God, with its vain imaginations and deceit, or

3) even worse than #2, Satan, the Deceiver/Liar, who will tell us whatever it is we need to hear to turn us against God.

What do you believe?  James.

Seems like a lot of your conclusions have come from believing that the Bible is correct

What if its not? What then my friend?

What if it is the 100% total truth and that's where all of your troubles have been coming from?  You sound as though you're already in the chastening Hands of the Lord, being prepared for His redemptive confrontation with you.  Who died?  Did you grow up in an abusive family life?  You fear that it is all true and in the light of that, you can't explain all of the heart ache that you've seen in the light of that because you won't come to Him so He can give you His fountain of living water so that all of your griefs and anger can be taken away forever.

If there were 100% conclusive scientific proof tomorrow that there is no God, it wouldn't change my lifestyle at all, because faith [genuinely] works even if you wanted to chalk it up to some quantum abberation in the brain that causes major guidance, emotional and bodily healings, various provisions (economic and otherwise), and very deep emotional and intellectual comforts for mind and body.  I've found something that works 100% when you put it to work, even though I'm sure you'd have your stories about people that faith actually tried and they themselves didn't work 'cause they were weak cowards that couldn't give the same 100% that they were expecting from Him or from any other relationship that mattered.

But Jesus still pulls sinking Peters out of the water when they stumble in their attempt to walk on the water as well, if that's where you happen to be at right now.  Even if somebody's died, He can still raise them from the dead...just for you.  No matter how long they've been in their graves.  He still literally raises the dead, calls things that are not as though they were, gives new identities, restores what's been lost, gives an inheritance, and promises you His faithfulness in this life to the thousandth generation if you're genuinely ready to be 100% sold out for Someone Who has always been 100% sold out for you, even when there were communication difficulties between you and Him.

No, I can't explain your past, if this is what this is about, but it was apparently necessary in order to bring you to us today :HeartThrob: Pray with me:

Lord Jesus, this has sounded like so much crap, but if this is true -- if this is true -- I invite You in all of Your Majesty to speed up Your timing on when You will reveal Yourself to me in all of Your glory.  If You're Who You claimed to be, I want to know You and not just about You.  Be the Living Lord and Saviour of my life and not just a stupid creed and a stupid Sunday obligation that tries to take away all of my money.  If You genuinely are Who You claim to be, then I'll never be the same again.
