My beef with evolution is that it says it's science and compatible with the Bible but it isn't in either case.
(spontaneous abiogenesis like you mentioned is a biggie, my main biggie is that evolutionists want us to believe that all this stuff came from nothing and our most learned scientists today cannot duplicate the "accidents" of evolution.
Where it disagrees with the Bible is evolutionists have death way, way ,way before sin (they don't actually acknowledge sin even) and Jesus said 'In the beginning, God created them male and female (contrary to asexual division that evolutionists claim. And God himself wrote with his own finger on the stone tablets given to Moses, "In 6 days God created the heavens and the earth and on the seventh day he rested" He could've created everything instantly but took a whole week to show us what was best for us with our week. If death, suffering and disease came before sin why would have God said "It's all good!" More importantly, we follow Jesus and he took the scriptures at their word. He would say it is written it is written not God meant to say this when he inspired men to write that.

I am all for real science. Testable repeatable observable science.
I am against evolution because it's not testable, repeatable or observable. Therefore it is not science.
And i'm not talking evolution like different varieties of dogs, dogs will always give birth to other dogs. That is of course observable. What has never been observed is one kind of animal becoming another kind, like a dog mating with a cat and getting a dat or cog... or a giraffe turning into anything or coming from anything.
Evolutionists say we came from the ape family because we have similarities to apes. Ask them though and they will honestly tell you they have no idea where the ape family came from. Similarity does not mean relationship.
And howcome evolutionist only find bones of ancient man (that looks like an ape), but never seem to find bones of any apes?

Ded I've got to disagree with you about the Bible not being a mystical book or there being multiple interpretations to it.  You keep speaking of plain meaning, which is what we hear from the ET'ers too.  Yet the letter kills.  Not to mention that the "plain meaning" is very heavily influenced by the RCC, the KJV etc, christian tradition etc.  I used to be a 6 day creationist.  Now I don't view Gen 1 as having anything to do with the creation of the literal earth, or at least not the highest meaning of it.  No it is the creation of the new man.  Did you know that the Jews considered Gen 1:1 had 70 different meanings like facets to a diamond.

I see where your coming from red, I just believe personnally, for me, I must treat the scriptures as Jesus did. My 
It is written. it is written. Jesus nowhere corrects and says anything along the lines of It is written like this but it really has a mystical meaning or means something different or God just couldn't get Moses, David, Paul, John(whoever) to write it down exactly what I really meant to say. I will agree that there close to as many interpretations as there are people that read it. It means something different to everyone.

IMO   the person who can imagine ,when they see God the Father
 and stand in front of him and hears him say well done faithful servant.

If this same person then says when he imagines you standing before God
that hears God saying to you WHY DIDN'T YOU BELIEVE .

For the first part, "the well done good and faithful servant" is what I long and hope and pray to hear, certainly no guarantee.
The second part of why didn't you believe my word has nothing to do with agreeing with me, it's my fear for those that can casually change the word of God to suit them. for example, ET people that say God didn't mean "the saviour of the world" when the word says "Jesus Christ the saviour of the world" it means something else because it conflicts with my current belief.

And it's certainly OK to disagree with me, I would not grow as quickly without iron sharpening iron. I sure don't have all the answers. But God does and it's in His word.

The bible has a plain meaning and it has a spiritual meaning, and the latter is the message for us, not the former, except where the plain and spiritual meaning are the same, ie "thou shalt not kill" - although Martin Luther said the spiritual meaning of "thou shalt not kill" is "make sure your neighbor doesn't die" (ie get him to a doctor when he's sick).

What's the point of taking off your shoes before God? And how does that make you pleasing to God?

Holiness is not about taking off your shoes, but having intimate contact with what is holy.

Anti - the provision to take off your shoes back then was to differentiate between regular and holy - to show proper respect to the Lord God creator. But Now, the veil has been ripped from top to bottom and since the sacrifice of Jesus, all are allowed access to the Father. If we are in Jesus, we are pleasing to God. God said, "This is my son, in Him I am well pleased."
You're right -  holiness is not now about taking off your shoes.
Jesus said, "Be holy for I am holy"
Holiness is seperated out from this world, "in the world but not of the world," special, set apart for God's glory.

You know that was the instruction to Moses at the burning bush because the place where they met was holy ground. If I meet God in a burning bush or anywhere else and he instructs me to take off my shoes due to the place where I am being holy ground, I will certainly do so.

Well yeah, may God fill us with better wisdom. Paul said that those who have recognized something have not yet recognized as they should. I guess we all miss out on the actual will of God because this will must be so encompassing to be really impossible. IE, I should go out immediately and give everything I have as a gift to someone outside, and go travelling to Istanbul and preach on the streets and never worry about anything to do with homosexuality at all. Because for God it's not important, ha. Yeah, really, only the Holy Spirit knows God thoroughly and we're spoonfed one thing at a time. And after all, before the law there was no mention of homosexuality at all and nobody in the bible talks about it.

I'd like to know scripture better and treat people with a more loving attitude.
