Thanks Andy.
I have that picture somewhere hidden in my archive.
It actually made me grin a bit.

"Christ reigns for ever and ever"
And then the next sentance:
"Christ quits reigning"

If the chart is correct or not I can't say. It's kinda hard reading pictures when being blinded  :laughing7:

It says "Christ reigns for ever and ever" then says "Christ quits reigning" to prove that "for ever and ever" can't be unending. Get it?
Just because God says He will save all mankind
does not necessarily mean He won't.

Today was yesterday's tomorrow
Today will be tomorrow's yesterday
Yesterday's today was yesterday
Tomorrow's today is tomorrow
Yesterday's day after tomorrow is tomorrow
Tomorrow's day before yesterday was yesterday
The day before yesterday's tomorrow was yesterday
The day after tomorrow's yesterday is tomorrow
The day before yesterday's day after tomorrow
And the day after tomorrow's day before yesterday
Are both today
The day after tomorrow's tomorrow
And the day before yesterday's yesterday
Are both too far away
Todays turn into yesterdays
Tomorrow never comes
I think my tomorrow is today
Or maybe it was yesterday
Damn
I'm not sure which is which, anyway
So this is all I have left to say
Don't worry about the future
Don't turn your mind to the past
Just live this moment while it lasts
For far too soon it will also pass
And don't forget
Today's today is today
Where does all the time go?

Mods,

Why was my last post removed?

My guess would be that they wanted to let sleeping dogs lie, partly because this thread hasn't been active for awhile.

I removed it Apoc, as it classifies as baiting...no need to get an argument started back up just for the sake of it.  IMO, if the other party that was specifically addressed had posted the same thing in reverse, that would have also needed removed.  If there's really something to discuss related to the topic, that's great, no problem.  If you request, I'll remove the posts from your last Q down through this one if you prefer.  James.

The first Christians, it will be seen, said in their creeds, "I believe in the Šonian life;" later, they modified the phrase "Šonian life," to "the life of the coming Šon," showing that the phrases are equivalent. But not a word of endless punishment. "The life of the age to come" was the first Christian creed, and later, Origen himself declares his belief in Šonian punishment, and in Šonian life beyond. How, then, could Šonian punishment have been regarded as endless?

Philo adopts athanaton, ateleuteton or aidion to denote endless, and aionian temporary duration.

I agree with that. But I must add the post, a quote, was not really about aidos but about aionian.
Many ETs (are starting to/forced to) agree aion is age and not "for ever". But they still claim aionian is eternal. This thread is an example of it. So my last two quotes from an e-book show that both Christians and Philo that aionian as not "for ever".
The e-book even shows an example that aionian is used for a timespan of three generations.
The quotes are mainly from the early church fathers. I found it intrestingly enough to post but not enough to start a whole new thread about it so I just added it to an old thread on the same topic. That's all. :friendstu:

:cloud9: That's very interesting to me that you found it listed for 3 generations; He said He would curse them to the 3rd and 4th generation. Blessings....
