Without the law there would have been no sinners.
Yeah, you're right, but--
The problem isn't sin. It's death.
Once Adam brought death upon all creation, God needed to bring in the law to redeem it.
1 Corinthians 15:56
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law."impute"
1. To relate to a particular cause or source; attribute the fault or responsibility to
: imputed the rocket failure to a faulty gasket; kindly imputed my clumsiness to inexperience.
From G1722 and G3056 (in the sense of account); to reckon in, that is, attribute: - impute, put on account.
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses
, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
