A friend of mine wrote this, and I loved it:
Human: But I messed up big time this time.
God: I love you.
Human: I'm not worthy of your love, let me just get worthy.
God: My love for you is immeasurable.
Human: It is not possible that you could love me through mistake after mistake after mistake after mistake.
God: Let me gather you to me as a hen does her chicks.
Human: What about him, you can't love him because he messed up the biggest of us all and isn't even sorry.
God: My child will return to me.
Human: It is so hard for me to see past mistakes.
God: You don't have to. Dear child, if you know love then you know me. I have patience, am kind; I am not envious; I am not vain, am not puffed up; I do not behave indecently, do not pursue my own things, am not easily provoked, I think no evil; do not rejoice in unrighteousness, but I rejoice in the truth. I quietly cover all things, I believe all things, I hope all things, and I endure all things. (1 Cor 13:4-8) You will rejoice in this truth with me. You will love one another as I love you. I have commanded it, and so it will be.
Human: But I'm not always loving, I will fail you.
God: It is in my hands alone. I never fail. (vs 8)
