cleanliness is next to godliness

for the wages of sin is eternal torment

Leave it to God to use RHM as the vessel to lift the veil.

Seriously though:

Jesus wept.

Have we not one Father? Has not one God created us all?

When your judgements fill the earth the people learn righteousness.

From Him, through Him, and to Him are all things.

Be not afraid, only believe   (Mark 5:36)

Fear not, little flock, it's your Father's good pleasure to give...  (Luke 12:32)

If you believe, you shall see the glory of God.  (John 11:40)

Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous

I've seen that scrip for a long time on your sig Wings, and I've pondered it.  If we make more than a few comments back and forth, I'll split it off to another thread, as I'd like this one to really pile up the "one liners" :)

But quickly, as I've thought about it (I'll also check the context around that verse for my own study), but here's another way to look at (interpret?) that scrip.

"But to the one who does not work,   but believes   in the one  who declares the ungodly righteous..."  (tied into "by grace are you saved through faith [believing], not of works"..?)  Again, I'll do a little more study on it in context, thanks.

Galatians 1:4, who gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.

And who did He rescue? Just us good guys, us christians? No.

1John 2:2, And He Himself is the satisfaction for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.  Isaiah 53:4

Nothing can separate us from the love of God. Rom. 8:38-39 I guess that would be a 2-liner but most
definitely powerful and my personal favorite.  :HeartThrob:

A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver. proverbs 25.11
We don't yet see things clearly. We're squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won't be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We'll see it all then; see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us! 1 Cor. 13:12

  Love them verses sista !!

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.[Is he] the God of the Jews only? [is he] not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

Rom 3:30   Seeing [it is] one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

Rom 3:31   Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law

Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Jesus is the reward  !!

The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
