Men are as trees. Cursed is anything that hangs from men.
Lean not on your own understanding . . .it's cursed. Doctrines of men, religion and religious tradition . . .all things that hang from the trees of men.
It's also why there were so many things in the ark that were wood overlaid with Gold.
Everything is spiritual.
Rev 22:2 in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
These are trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, both the leaves and the fruit that hang on them are blessed and a blessing to all.
Rev 22:14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.
No one 'enters' the city unless their robes are washed (thank you Jesus) and they are eating from the tree of life(walking from the spirit,walking in love, bearing the fruit of the spirit)- James 3:15-17- having forsaken the tree of the knowledge of good and evil...."For who is so blind as my servant?".
Can a fig tree, my brethren, produce olives, or a vine produce figs? Nor can salt water produce fresh. Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And
the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Rev 2:7 'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.'
I think Jesus is the tree of life that is in the Paradise of God- "Take and eat, this is my flesh, that is given for you".... " I am the bread of life that comes down from heaven"
Everything IS spiritual, even the physical and literal things that serve as shadows of the solid reality which is Christ, in whom are hid all the treasure of the wisdom and knowledge of God. But there is one sure way t know if we are really 'planted'- whether the 'incorruptible seed' within is becoming a 'tree of life' in our garden. Whether we have that solid reality is revealed in our communion, union, oneness.
If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have communion with each other and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin John 1:6
There are trees that are blessed and disciples who are trees and pillars upon which are hung the foundations of the city made without hands,........and they are in turn, branches in the Vine.
We can see what tree we are hanging on by whether or not we experience koinonea together, and the seed of righteousness that we sow in peace bears the fruit of righteousness. When the words we speak, as apples of gold set in leaves of silver, deliver life and healing to one another. Leaves for the healing of the nations grow on trees that are planted by the water of life, fed by a healing spirit :o)
How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.
