That verse should be used anytime there is a discussion about eternal torment. 1.) Did the Father deny Christ anything He asked? No.
2.) To whom was Christ referring to? The Romans nailing Him to the Cross? The Pharisees who were looking on? Or was He praying for everybody? I say everybody. But if He was just referring to the ones there at that moment and they were forgiven then why would Christ stop there? So if the Father never denied Christ anything then that prayer was answered. We’re all gonna be with Him. My 2 cents.
