The Switch is On for Steve Jobs

Switch is ON for Steve Jobs

According to biographers and those who knew Steve Jobs, he purposefully didn’t put on and off switches on his devices. When my wife inherited an Ipod from our son, I had a heck of a time trying to figure out how to turn it on and off. It wasn’t until after Steve Jobs died that I learned that Steve Jobs’ fear of death was the cause of my Ipod problems. Well, few of us go to such extremes as Steve Jobs regarding our fear of death, but we all suffer from this fear — fear of death is the number one phobia and the root of all the others.

I used to have a fear of death, although I wouldn’t have admitted it during my days in atheism. I used to say I would never go to a funeral including my own. Well, shortly after I “got saved” wonderfully on Valentine’s Day, 1985, I was invited to a funeral of a homeless alcoholic by his sister. I really didn’t want to go. But I went. It was a very cold day, very few people there — and no preacher. From movies I knew some religious person was supposed to say something and read something from the Bible. I asked the dead man’s sister, “Where’s the preacher?” And she replied, “Well, we thought you would say the words.”

God does have a sense of humor. And because I know that Jesus Christ is going to save everyone on this planet, that Jesus Christ will draw all mankind to Himself including atheists and Buddhists like Steve Jobs, I know without a doubt, that the switch is ON for Steve Jobs because of what Jesus Christ has done for the whole world.

Welcome to the Light of the world, Steve Jobs! You don’t have to be afraid of the darkness of death anymore!

“Oh Death, where is your sting? Oh Hell/hades, where is your victory?

The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” 1 Corinthians 15:55, 56, NKJV
